Beggars Banquet and Too Pure to close
Influential indie music labels Beggars Banquet and Too Pure are to close, with their rosters moving to fellow Beggars Group label 4AD.
The labels, who between them release music by artists like The National, Stereolab, Scout Niblett and St Vincent, have been operational since 1977 and 1990, respectively.
The first release of the new era will be former Too Pure act Stereolab's album 'Chemical Chords', which will be released by 4AD on 18 August.
