Hold Me Tight, Let Me Go

The highlights from one of Europe’s premier documentary festivals make their way to the capital’s number one arthouse cinema this fortnight. The four films selected for this showcase are Nitzan Gilady’s Jerusalem is Proud to Present, a record of the contentious 2006 World Pride event in the Holy Land; Kim Longinotto’s Hold Me Tight, Let Me Go (pictured), about the Mulberry Bush extreme behaviour school in Oxford; Nina Davenport’s Operation Filmmaker, which focuses on a Baghdad-based Shiite filmmaker, and Cabul in Kabul about the last two Jews left in Afghanistan.

Filmhouse, Edinburgh, Mon 5–Tue 27 May.
