Madonna to play Radio 1's Big Weekend

Madonna has been confirmed as the headliner for Radio 1's Big Weekend 2008, which will take place at Mote Park in Maidstone, Kent on the weekend of 10 and 11 May.

The singer, who won her 13th UK number one single at the weekend, with the Justin Timberlake-featuring 4 Minutes, will headline the Saturday. The day's bill will also include The Fratellis, Usher, Scouting For Girls, Duffy, The Feeling, Robyn and The Hoosiers.

The Sunday will be headlined by The Kooks, while other bands appearing include The Enemy, Nelly, Goldfrapp, The Pigeon Detectives, Newton Faulkner, OneRepublic and Adele.
