The Courteeners announce tour dates

The Courteeners, arguably the biggest thing to come out of Manchester since the Gallaghers and Betty's hot pot, have just announced the dates for their UK tour.

Among the 14 gigs, which stretch from Newcastle to Norwich, are two Scottish dates: the band will be playing at Fat Sam's in Dundee on 6 October, with Glasgow's Barrowlands set to host the Manc musicians the following night.

The band are currently on a roll, after their debut album 'St Jude' entered the charts at number four this weekend.
