Indie rockers inspire Edinburgh barista to get creative

Newcastle band Little Comets are to play an intimate coffee shop gig in Edinburgh to launch their own blend of coffee.

Michael Wilson, barista at Artisan Roast on Broughton Street, first encountered the band at Newcastle Central Station in January, as they were handing out promo CDs to rail passengers.

So inspired was Wilson, apparently, that he decided to produce the exclusive Little Comets Blend in tribute, which he describes as 'smooth with a lively edge blending La Manuela Estate with Yirgacheffe coffee beans'.

To celebrate the coffee's launch, the band will be playing an acoustic set at Artisan Roast, Edinburgh, Friday 18th April at 9pm.
