Festivals update
Connect, T in the Park and Rock Ness all make announcements
The Connect festival returns this year as Hydro Connect, with a clutch of quality acts over 29-31 August including Franz Ferdinand, Sigur Ros, Spiritualized, The Gossip and The Breeders.
Nick Cave also brings his Grinderman project to Scotland for the first time and platinum-selling Duffy plays her biggest Scottish show to date. Tickets are on sale now via www.connectfestival.co.uk.
Elswhere in festival land, one of reality TV’s most successful talents is set to hit the festivals circuit after a two-year hiatus. Will Young was announced last week as yet another recruit for this July’s T in the Park line-up. Other new additions include Echo and the Bunnymen, Battles and Goo Goo Dolls.
Rock Ness have announced another 30 acts, including Soulwax, The Orb, Mylo, Midnight Juggernauts and Glasgow’s own Dykeenies.
