Duffy is top of the pops
After topping tipsters’ polls for potential hotness in 2008, husky pop chanteuse Duffy has delivered in spades and has done the double this week, topping both the singles and album charts.
Her debut album Rockferry (no we still don’t know what a Rockferry is either) was certified platinum (300,000 sales) after just two days while her single ‘Mercy’ sold 60,000 copies in a day.
She also posted the second biggest pre-sale numbers on website Amazon ever, second only Norah Jones’ second album Not Too Late, in February 2007.
Her entire upcoming UK tour is completely sold out and she has had over five million hits on her website www.iamduffy.com in a month.
