Vampire Weekend and Michael Franti announce Scottish dates

New York’s most sartorially astute indie kids Vampire Weekend capitalise on the success of their new self-titled debut album with a pair of dates this spring. They will play Liquid Room, Edinburgh on 3 May and Oran Mor, Glasgow, 3 May.
Less dapper but equally entertaining is Michael Franti, poet, rapper and all round solid dude, who has confirmed an appearance at Liquid Room, Edinburgh on 20 August. This could be the first confirmation for what will be the new look T on the Fringe. DF Concerts, who organise the season of shows in Edinburgh during August have parted ways with Tennent’s as a sponsor and are at work revamping the event.
