Profile - Dave Ward
Who’s he then? A self-confessed fibber, Dave Ward has gone through quite a few career shifts. He’s been a professional golfer and a waiter at a celebrity hang-out, before spending a period of time behind bars due to his extreme gambling addictions. At least we think this is all true.
And this is comedy, yeah? Almost incredibly, yes. Ward spun the dark side of his life story into a 60-minute debut show entitled The Whole Truth and Nothing But for last year’s Fringe and it went down pretty well with the critics.
Did this mag have an opinion? Yep, we said he ‘is an able performer’ who ‘emotes for England.’
Has he supported anyone big? Only Harry Hill, Frank Skinner and Norman Lovett. Unless he’s been lying to us.
The Stand, Glasgow, Thu 10–Sun 13 Jan.
