Jeffrey Lewis & the Jitters - preview
Anti-folkist singer-songwriter and underground comic book artist Jeffrey Lewis was signed to Rough Trade records back in 2001, releasing his wonderfully titled debut album The Last Time I Did Acid I Went Insane. But his most recent album is perhaps his most ambitions. 12 Crass Songs does exactly what it says on the tin as Lewis covers the seminal British punks, reworked in his own shambling folk style.
Nice’n’Sleazy, Glasgow, Sun 16 Dec.
