Music hidden in da Vinci’s Last Supper?
A computer expert claims to have discovered music hidden in Leonardo da Vinci’s masterpiece The Last Supper.
By superimposing the five lines in sheet music over the painting, Giovanni Maria Pala said a 40-second composition then becomes apparent.
He used the hands of Jesus and the Apostles and the loaves of bread in the picture to represent notes.
Mr Pala is expected to publish his findings next week. He said of the composition: ‘It sounded really solemn, almost like a requiem.’
