Bourne squares up to Pirates of the Caribbean for People’s Choice
Matt Damon’s Jason Bourne trilogy has scooped three nominations for the People’s Choice Awards.
The blockbuster franchise is up for favourite film, favourite action movie and favourite ‘threequel’.
Damon will also compete with Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp in the favourite male action star category.
Depp has also been nominated for best male movie star – an award he took home last year – while the latest installment of Pirates of the Caribbean is up against the Bourne Ultimatum for the favourite movie and threequel awards.
The awards are voted for by the American public and will be announced in Los Angeles on 8 January.
