Dahl’s Fantastic Mr Fox destined for big screen
Director Wes Anderson is finally getting to grips with a project he claims has been eight years in the making - bringing his favourite Roald Dahl story to the big screen.
An animated version of Fantastic Mr Fox, in which George Clooney will voice the protagonist, is set to involve new characters and plotlines so it can become a feature length film.
The story features the adventures of the wily Mr Fox as he outsmarts three farmers determined to stop his raids on their supplies.
Anderson, who is writing the script with Noah Baumbach, said: ‘There’s a whole new bit at the start and a new section at the end, but we’ve tried to do something that Roald Dahl would love.’
