Rowling completes Harry Potter fairytales
JK Rowling has completed a set of handwritten fairytales mentioned in her last book – but is not planning to have them published.
The Edinburgh-based author has written just seven of The Tales of Beedle the Bard, which was a book left to Hermione by wizard Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
The fairytales were also illustrated by Rowling.
One copy of the seven volumes will be auctioned to raise money for her charity – The Children’s Voice – while the remaining collection will be given away.
Sotheby’s in London has put a starting price of £30,000 on the book when it goes under the hammer in December.
