Indiana Jones stirs anticipation amongst movie goers

A poll listing the most hotly anticipated movies due for release over the next year has been topped by the next Indiana Jones adventure.

Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was among a host of franchise films to make the list, with just two original films in the top 10.

According to the MovieTickets.com survey, which asked 2,000 cinema-goers to rank their interest in upcoming films, the next Batman movie - The Dark Knight - ranked in second place.

National Treasure: Book of Secrets was named third, followed by American Gangster and the Chronicles of Narnia: Price Caspian.

The fourth Indiana Jones film will mark nearly 20 years since its original outing, with Harrison Ford to reprise his role as the intrepid archaeologist.

The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull will be released worldwide in May next year.
