Jennifer Aniston named top covergirl by Forbes

Former Friends star Jennifer Aniston has been named top magazine covergirl, following a Forbes.com study of best-selling stars.

The site analysed the sales of six weekly magazines over six months to determine the list, which saw Aniston’s ex husband Brad Pitt take second place.

“We eliminated all non-celebrity and collage covers as well as special issues with exceptionally large base rates,” Forbes.com said.

“Then we counted how many more-or-less issues the celebrity’s cover sold, as compared with the magazine’s average newsstand sales.”

Scarlett Johansson ranked third, followed by Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon then Katie Holmes.

Unfortunately Britney Spears’ recent troubles have also hit her selling status, placing her last among the cover faces.

Little consolation is likely to come with the news that Paris Hilton was the only celebrity with a lower rating.
