Olly Murs has revealed it would have been possible to perform on 'The X Factor' and attend his twin's wedding, but insisted he wants to move forward after choosing the show over his brother's nuptials.

Olly Murs could have stayed on 'The X Factor' even if he'd left to attend his brother's wedding.

The singer - who was a runner-up on the TV singing show in 2009 - missed his twin's nuptials so he could perform at the semi-finals but he has revealed it would have been possible to do both.

Olly, 28, and Ben haven't spoken since the star made the decision to focus on the show, and it now seems it could have been avoided.

The 'Thinking of Me' hitmaker said: "I wouldn't have been eliminated from the show by going to [the wedding] but I would have missed a full day of rehearsals.

"It was the semi-finals. It was [a] shame but you have to move forward."

The family were torn apart by the decision and Olly added he feels sorry for his parents for being caught up in it.

He told The Sun newspaper: "We haven't spoken for three or four years. I hope he's happy whatever he's doing.

"It was just a falling out over the wedding day. I just really feel for my parents - that's the real feud."
