A glowing gleam glows green

Glasgow’s historic canal quarter is in line for a spot of refurbishment, and it’s not just the local community who are being encouraged to celebrate the area this weekend. A whole afternoon of messing about on the river – including kayaking classes, boat rides and a fishing competition – culminates in a convoy of giant lanterns by artist Graeme Gilmour being floated down the water after dark.
