Benedetti adds new string to her bow
Classical violinist Nicola Benedetti is promoting her third album, which the 20-year-old from Ayrshire describes as “emotional, tuneful and atmospheric”.
The Ayrshire musician has released her interpretation of pieces by Ralph Vaughan Williams and John Tavener.
Performing to around 50 fans in Edinburgh’s HMV store on Princes Street, she said: "I think I've changed a lot since my first album. I was only 17 when it was first released.
"It was a very new experience for me to record back then, and the repertoire has also changed a lot since the first album, but also in how I perform, and practice and develop things all the time."
