Psychic TV

From his days as ringleader of prime industrialists Throbbing Gristle through various incarnation of PTV, Genesis P Orridge has never creatively stood still. His early music proved a defining influence on Marilyn Manson and Nine Inch Nails, and he consequently was the first to use the term ‘acid house’ on record. His current non-musical endeavour is pandrogyny, where he has had reconstructive surgery so he and ‘other half’ Lady Jayne would look the same. Sonically, his music is more Bootsy than Belsen these days – a 56-year-old man/woman psychedelic orator cranking out machine funk. Not your typical trip.
