Drama at the Venice Film Festival where Ang Lee took the Golden Lion for best film with his erotic spy drama Lust, Caution.

It wasn’t a hugely popular choice with some of the jury, with claims of ‘fighting like cats and dogs’ in the jury room.

Brad Pitt snagged the award for best actor for The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford, which should win a prize based on its title alone.

Meanwhile Cate Blanchett took best actress for her performance in I’m Not There – sadly neither prize winner was available to pick up the gongs which must have been a tad irritating for the festival organizers.
