U2 recording sessions ‘going great’
U2’s new album is practically ‘making itself’ according to the Irish group’s producer Daniel Lanois.
The band have drafted in Brian Eno and Lanois to help write and produce their latest musical offering, with the latter planning to use shots of recording sessions in Morocco for a documentary about his work entitled ‘Here Is What Is’.
Lanois, who has worked on The Unforgettable Fire, The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby, met with the band earlier this summer.
“We’ve been invited as writers this time. I did three writing sessions with Eno and U2 – one in Fez, Morocco; two in France,” he said.
“It’s going great. We’re regrouping in November.”
