ABC confirms Ugly role for Victoria

Victoria Beckham will make an appearance on the popular US show Ugly Betty, with filming due to start in autumn.
The ABC network confirmed the cameo role on Thursday, adding that the former Spice Girl will play a celebrity bridesmaid for an episode of the comedy series.
It is thought the show will offer David Beckham’s other half an opportunity to redeem herself, after a disastrous bid to launch ‘Brand Beckham’ across the pond.
The documentary expected to propel the couple into the celebrity stratosphere was considered a massive flop from both sides of the Atlantic, with critics slamming her sense of humour and ‘vapid’ personality. David Beckham meanwhile has struggled with footballing injuries, keeping him on the bench with new team LA Galaxy.
Posh joins a long list of celebrity guest appearances, including the show’s producer Salma Hayek, with former Dawson’s Creek star James Van Der Beek also in line for the Ugly Betty treatment.
