Robbie Williams returns to solo performing with a series of 'intimate' gigs

Take That member and solo act extraordinaire Robbie Williams will return this September with an exclusive three-gig tour around the UK. The 38-year-old award-winning artist will revisit the places that launched his solo career in 1997, performing at Leeds O2 Academy, Glasgow Barrowland and Southend Cliffs.

Williams was just 16 years old when he joined Take That in 1990 as their youngest member. Despite the band’s success, Williams departed from the group six years later on his 22nd birthday, citing differences with the band members and management. His solo career was soon launched however, and he notched up a string of hits including 'Angels', 'Let Me Entertain You' and 'She’s The One'. In July 2010 Williams re-joined Take That and in November of that year the group released their sixth studio album, Progress, which became the fastest-selling album of the 21st century.

Fans of the Britpop star, who married Ayda Field in August 2010, will be able to get their hands on the exclusive tickets by entering their contact details via tickets.robbiewilliams.com. On Mon 3 Sep names will be randomly selected, and the lucky winners will be told by midday on Tue 4 Sep if they’ve been successful.
