Logan on the run again

The long-running Logan’s Run saga looks like finally breasting the finishing tape after going through a legion of directors.
Bryan Singer was first in line to helm the adaptation of the sci-fi classic and when he dropped out Flightplan’s Robert Schwenke was being mooted. Then V for Vendetta’s James McTeigue appeared to have taken up the baton, only to fumble it into the waiting hands of debutant feature director Joseph Kosinski.
After the Michael York/Jenny Agutter starring original strayed rather a long way from the original source novel, the remake is said to stick closely to the William F Nolan and George Clayton Johnson text. Which may be a worry as it’s quite a philosophical tome.
