Slapstick approach to torture, scandal and government cover-ups
When a government minister is pictured committing an act he’d rather keep under wraps, can he keep the evidence hidden? And will his aide keep quiet? Dealing with torture, scandal and government cover-ups, all through the unlikely medium of slapstick, the cast manically fling themselves and the set around the stage in what, at first, seems like two separate sketches. The ideas and the humour are there; you just need to look beyond the chaos to find them. (Nicola Husband)
Underbelly’s Baby Belly, 0870 745 3083, until 26 Aug, 2.15pm, £8–£9 (£7–£8).
