Rich Hall's motel life
Although listed under comedy and written/directed by Fringe favourite, comedian Rich Hall, Best Western is far from a light-hearted romp. It looks at two interlinking families in a middle America Motel, where the owners are being forced to sell and the only guest is dealing with his own troubled relatives. Both families arrive at a crossroads in their stagnant lives. Unfortunately, those lives make stagnant viewing at times, with often uninspired direction in an otherwise gently appealing story. Assembly Rooms, 623 3030, until 27 Aug, 6.05pm, £13–£14 (£12–£13).
