'Coronation Street: Corrie Goes To Kenya' will be aired on August 17.
The castmembers - Brooke Vincent (Sophie Webster), Sue Cleaver (Eileen Grimshaw), Ben Price (Nick Tilsley) and Ryan Thomas (Jason Grimshaw) - all flew to the African country to work with the charity S.A.F.E., which uses performing arts to educate people on the dangers of HIV and drug abuse.
And now bosses of the ITV1 soap have revealed the first part of the documentary will be shown later this month, with an air date for the second instalment set to be announced soon.
A press release said: "Using their 'Coronation Street' storyline experience, the foursome had just over a week to recruit local actors and workshop their story ideas into a series of soap-like plays with a warning message which were then performed by them and S.A.F.E.'s Kenyan actors to a live audience in the African bush."
The first episode sees the stars arriving in the "biggest slum" area of Mombasa, which is home to 20,000 people who have no running water, a poor sewage system and who run a high risk of contracting cholera or dysentery.
