Denise Van Outen won't visit Lee Mead in LA
Denise Van Outen won't be visiting her husband Lee Mead when he flies to Los Angeles to pursue a career in TV.
Denise Van Outen won't be visiting Lee Mead when he goes to Los Angeles for work.
The 38-year-old presenter - who has two-year-old Betsy with her West End star husband - says she doesn't want to fly out to visit Lee when he travels to LA for work because she'll have her hands full with their daughter.
The former 'Big Breakfast' host exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "I probably won't visit because he's only going for 10 weeks and he's going to fly home in that time. But I won't because I'll be here with Betsy and I don't want to take her out of nursery."
Denise thinks that cracking America is the next step for Lee, who won Andrew Lloyd Webber's BBC talent show 'Any Dream Will Do' in 2007, and insists she isn't nervous about him heading to the US for the summer.
She explained:"Lee is heading off soon. I'm not nervous about it, I'm excited for him. He's only doing what all actors do. If you act, LA is the next step.
"He's not going with any kind of pre-conceived ideas, he's doing it as an experience. If it goes well brilliant but if not then...
"He's only going for a couple of months but his management company over there have insisted that he should be there.
"If castings come up, quite often you'll miss out on a role if you are in the UK. By the time you get there they've already cast it."
