Niall Sheehy was the fourth person to be voted off 'Superstar' last night (19.07.12).
The hopeful crashed out of the search for a lead in 'Jesus Christ Superstar', losing to Rory Taylor after being voted into the bottom two by the public.
After Niall had performed 'Wherever You Will Go' by The Calling, and Rory had sung Coldplay's 'Fix You', show supremo Lord Andrew LLoyd Webber gave his decision.
He said: "Amanda I'm not going to do some corny reality show moment where we wait for a tense pause, because obviously I'm going to save Rory.
"But I want to say something to Niall. This is very, very true. A very well known West End producer called me this morning in my hotel and said he'd seen a completely new Niall.
"I know there are roles for you in the West End. I think you could be a wonderful Marius in 'Les Miserables' or a wonderful Raoul in 'Phantom of the Opera'. I think you are going to have a long West End career - good luck!"
Niall had given up a part on the touring version of musical 'Spamalot' to appear on the show. After the show, he said he had been suffering from illness.
He tweeted: "Just wanted to say, I was emotional tonight because I was annoyed at not being able to overcome illness. The elimination, I could take...! x (sic)"
Co-judge Mel C said she thought his vocals were not up to standard, saying: "Your performances have been improving night after night. But I'm not sure about tonight. I really enjoyed the acting side but personally for me vocally I think you might be falling behind the rest of the pack."
The remaining contestants on the show are are Jon Moses, Anderson, Nathan James, Roger Wright, David Hunter, Ben Forster and Rory.
