Michael Vaughan is set to star in this year's 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The former England cricket captain - who won the Ashes series in 2005 - has signed up to take part in the BBC One show after getting reassurances from friend and former soccer star Robbie Savage, who took part in the programme last year.
An insider told The Sun newspaper: "Michael was chuffed that the BBC asked him to take part. But he was really uncertain about it. He had to think hard about having to dress up in pink and sequins and learn how to dance in front of millions of viewers.
"He asked a lot of his sporting mates if he should do it and Robbie immediately told him to say yes, as he had such a great time in last year's show."
Cricketers have a good history in the dancing show, which is hosted by Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly, after former England internationals Darren Gough and Mark Ramprakash won the show in 2005 and 2006 respectively.
Westlife singer Nicky Byrne is also being lined up to take part in 'Strictly', which will return to TV screens in September.
