As a Creative Places award winner, St Andrews reaches for the sky this summer with an exciting event programme that knows no boundaries. Far from the limits of the theatres’ four walls, Inside Out Festival champions outdoor theatre and performance allowing the arts to reach a larger, more diverse audience.
This year, the festival has a distinctly international feel with acts Nocturne, Taxi!, Trolleys and Dear Lido swinging by before performing at the London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. There is variety in abundance ranging from the 1940s Promenade of bathers to Parkour (also known as freerunning) on top of a London taxi! And you can also get involved with opportunities in audience participation and a programme of workshops.
