5 Reasons To Go See . . . 100% Silk tour
LA Vampires, Ital, Maria Minerva, Magic Touch and Innergaze team up for electronica tour

Maria Minerva
1. Find out what all the fuss about
Run by one-half of the husband and wife team behind the experimental Not Not Fun label, Amanda Brown’s more dance-orientated, LA-based offshoot is barely over a year old but has already enjoyed plaudits from FACT, Mixmag and XLR8R for its retro disco-sleeved, vinyl slabs of rugged house, cosmic disco and ethereal pop; Amanda will also be performing as LA Vampires on the night.
2. Experience the musical other sides of Mi Ami
Formerly a punk rock trio, Mi Ami bandmates’ Daniel Martin-McCormick and Damon Palermo have since slimmed to a more electronic-focussed duo, but will be appearing under their respective solo alter egos, Ital and Magic Touch to showcase their skewed, patchwork-like mingling of house, disco and electro.
3. Maria Minerva
As approved by French Vogue and renowned music journalist Simon Reynolds, the London-based singer/producer, real name Maria Juur, cites Brian Eno, Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire and Moodymann as influences, her eclectic output ranging from gritty, lo-fi house to dreamy, electro-pop.
4. Enjoy the added bonus of Innergaze
As the Glasgow-leg of their own European tour conveniently coincides with their 100% Silk labelmates’ appearance in the city, the raw, psychedelic house sound of Innergaze duo Aurora Halal and Jason Letkiewicz is a late, bonus addition to the bill.
5. Star in the 100% Silk Tour documentary
Funded by fan contributions in return for merchandise, tour tickets or even a production credit, their target of $3500 was reached, allowing videographer Benjamin Shearn to film the European tour for a forthcoming 100% Silk Tour DVD.
