Robin Cousins wants 'A-List' DOI stars
Robin Cousins would like some big-name stars to sign up to 'Dancing on Ice' but fears it is difficult as the ITV show takes up so much time.
Robin Cousins would like big name celebrities to sign up to 'Dancing on Ice'.
The retired figure skater - who has been a judge on the show since 2006, and was this year joined by Katarina Witt and Louie Spence on the panel - would like to get some big named stars on the series but believes few would be able to if they have other career commitments.
He told the Daily Star: "We'd love to have some A-Listers but they'd have to put six months of their lives on hold to learn to skate and it can be dangerous."
Last week it was revealed all of the judges on the talent show - which is fronted by Phillip Schofield and Christine Bleakley - could face the axe because ITV bosses fear it is not too dull.
A source said: "'Dancing On Ice' was so boring this year - and it didn't escape the notice of the top brass.
"They were stunned that no one was talking about it. It also got hammered in the ratings by the BBC which put up 'Call The Midwife' against us. Now we're going back to the drawing board in a bid to inject some life into the show. We're looking at everything - the judges, the stars on the show, everything is up for discussion."
