A coveted slot on the new Arcadia UFO stage is up for grabs

Rockness has announced the ultimate opportunity for all wannabe, amateur and pro DJ’s – the chance to win a slot at this year’s new Arcadia UFO stage on Sun 10 June.

Organisers are offering a guest slot to just one DJ – all entrants have to do is upload their best club mix to the Rockness Soundcloud page by Mon 30 Apr. Mixes are to be 20–30 minutes in length and submitted with a track-listing and DJ contact details.

A shortlist of six finalists will be chosen by the festival organisers to take part in a DJ battle at Glasgow’s Sub Club on Sat 19 May. Judges at the event will include Mixmag’s Duncan Dick, Harri and Domenic of Subculture and reps from Sub Club, Soma Records and Rockness themselves. The winner will play the festival on the evening of Sun 10 Jun and will receive two VIP weekend camping tickets.

All five runners up will also get a pair of weekend camping tickets.

Rockness is held from Fri 8-Sun 10 Jun 2012 in the village of Dorres, near Inverness.
