RockNess 2012 hosts Hudson Mohawke at Sub Club 25 year celebration

RockNess today confirmed a plethora of new acts for the 2012 festival - taking place 8-10 June - and a new stage celebrating the 25 year anniversary of Sub Club Sound System .
The Arcadia UFO, brought to you by the people behind the Afterburner stage, which this new stage replaces, is a 360-degree rave machine resembling a flying saucer.
Curated by Soma Records, this new stage concept will host James Holden, Ben Sims (aka The Machine) and Andrew Weatherall, who presents a five-hour A Love From Outer Space set incorporating cosmic disco and house along with Sean Johnston.
Also appearing for the Soma team are Silicone Soul, Animal Farm, Dirty Bird and Mothership boss Claude VonStroke.
Speaking about this year’s line-up, Soma Records boss Dave Clarke said: ‘Last year was truly special and we aim to make this year's shenanigans even more so. Bring your stomping boots. Make no mistake, this is going to Rock.’
Meanwhile the Sub Club 25th birthday party will showcase everything that makes the Glasgow club an institution with Hudson Mohawke, Ivan Smagghe, Harri & Domenic, Pearson Sound, Levion Vincent, Eats Everything, Sensu, Thunder Disco Club and Boom Monk Ben.
Last but by no means least superlative-defying Mylo will bring Sunday night to an almighty climax sure to bring the house down with his first appearance at RockNess since the very first instalment seven years ago.
The Rockness 2012 line-up includes Biffy Clyro, Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran, Deadmau5, Justice, Friendly Fires, Dave Clarke,the Drums, Jacques Lu Cont, The Rapture, Annie Mac, Mylo, Zane Lowe, Knife Party, Kassidy, Admiral Fallow, Mystery Jets, Jakwob, Claude Von Stroke, Animal Farm, Japanese Popstars, Little Comets, Lucy Rose, Porter Robinson, Bastille, To Kill A King, The Draymin, The View and Tim Minchin.
