The 'Only Way Is Essex' beauty - who called time on her engagement to the 25-year-old hunk in August following a 10-year on-off relationship - admitted the couple still "love" each other, and she is hopeful they can reignite their romance in the future.

Speaking at the National Television Awards at London's The O2 last night (25.01.12), she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's very complicated between me and Mark. We 100 per cent still love each other, but he is just so focused on his work and making money at the moment.

"We're each other's first loves and we can never seem to move on from one another. Who knows what will happen but I hope we make it down the aisle one day!"

However, Carol Wright - Mark's mum who also appears in the ITV2 reality show - explained while Lauren is "like a daughter" to her, she thinks the former couple are better off as friends.

She said: "Lauren is like a daughter to me and she's a really lovely girl but I don't think her and Mark are right together.

"When they are together they just argue all the time and it drains both of them. It's much healthier for them to be friends and get on with their own lives.
