Sex and the City set for big screen outing

Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth are to rekindle their on screen romance for a feature length episode of Sex and the City. After weeks of negotiations, Noth secured a deal to return as Carrie Bradshaw’s suitor Mr Big for the upcoming film. Parker’s three co-stars from the popular HBO series - Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon - agreed to reprise their roles in early July. New Line Cinema will finance and distribute the film, which will be written and directed by executive producer of the series Michael Patrick King. Production for the long-awaited follow up is expected to begin in September. The final episode of the original series saw Mr Big fly to Paris in an attempt to win Carrie back.
