Brooke Vincent was "on the verge of being sick" when Sacha Parkinson filmed her 'Coronation Street' exit scenes.
The 19-year-old actress - who plays teen lesbian Sophie Webster in the ITV1 soap - explained seeing her on-screen girlfriend play out her final dramas was an emotional experience, as both girls were "crying all the time".
She said: "We've been crying all the time. Normally, when one of us has to cry for a scene, we burst out laughing, but this time we both had tears streaming down our faces.
"I was actually on the verge of being sick. It was horrible."
However, with Sacha's alter-ego Sian Powers fleeing the cobbles when she discovers Sophie has been unfaithful with Amber Kalirai (Nikki Patel), Brooke thinks if her character turned to men it would be "the worst thing ever" because of the recognition their storyline has gained within the lesbian community.
Brooke added in an interview with new! magazine: "We've had so much support and recognition for this storyline, so for them to make her straight again would be the worst thing ever.
"What we've done has brought confidence to people. One girl told me that when her nan tells people she's a lesbian, she says, 'You know, like those two girls off Corrie'. It's so nice people can relate to us."
