Ridley Scott to produce The Passage

Ridley Scott has agreed to produce an adaptation of Justin Cronin’s The Passage, after Fox 2000 agreed to pay $3.75 million for the rights. The only fly in the ointment is that Cronin has yet to finish the book. It does sound quite good though, with the story set in 2016 and featuring a group of death row inmates turned into highly infectious vampires by a secret government project. Ticks all the boxes really.
