Southland Tales to hit screens at last

Richard Kelly’s critically savaged Southland Tales is ready to be released in cinemas on November 9 after massive recuts. The Donnie Darko director’s story of a disturbing future was panned when it was shown at Cannes last year, but has undergone major surgery with the helmer claiming the new cut is far closer to his original vision. Oddly, the future setting is the really not very far away July 4 2008, so there are unlikely to be many flying cars.
