Johnny Robinson
Robbie Williams and Johnny Robinson bonded over their shared interest in UFOs at 'The X Factor' at the weekend.
Robbie Williams struck up a friendship with Johnny Robinson when he visited 'The X Factor' at the weekend.
The 'Angels' hitmaker had been invited to the show by Take That bandmate Gary Barlow and was expected to support his pal's act Marcus Collins, but spent most of his time backstage with the eccentric former contestant - who had made a return to perform the finalists' single 'Wishing on a Star' - discussing their shared love of aliens.
Johnny - who is now working on 'This Morning', presenting The Hub on Fridays - said: "Robbie was a gentleman, really lovely. We had a long chat about UFOs as we are both interested in them.
"We've both seen UFOs and I have done a lot of research so Robbie was interested in talking about them."
Robbie - who lives in Los Angeles with wife Ayda Field - even suggested Johnny fly out to America to go alien hunting.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "People often take the mickey out of him for his belief in aliens but Johnny was right there with him. They had an animated chat which went on for ages.
"Rob was telling him about UFO trips he goes on in the States, where they travel to 'hotspots' to hunt extra-terrestrials. He suggested Johnny try one as he really rates them."
