Gary Barlow wants to return to 'The X Factor' next year.

Despite the controversy surrounding the current series of the show - which has seen Gary's act Frankie Cocozza axed after bragging about taking cocaine - the Take That singer insists he has loved being a judge and would have no hesitation in coming back in 2012 if he is wanted by show boss Simon Cowell.

He said: "I'd do it in a heartbeat, I would do it all again. I have loved every bit of it. I would miss it if I didn't do it any more."

Gary insists he is completely focused on doing the best he can for his remaining boys - Marcus Collins and Craig Colton - and his priority is getting their performances right, not on playing to the cameras with his judging comments.

He added in an interview with OK! magazine: "I honestly don't care about the entertainment aspect - that's Louis Walsh's job. I never consider that at all. I just care about getting my acts on stage with a good song so they can showcase their vocals every week."

The 'Patience' singer isn't sure whether he and the other three judges - Louis, Kelly Rowland and Tulisa - will return next year, but he is full of praise for all of them as mentors

Gary explained: "Having been part of this series, I love the other judges - they are brilliant. We have our fall-outs, but they are great for the acts."
