Mark Ronson and Kassidy also set for New Year in Scottish capital
Bombay Bicycle Club and Friendly Fires have been confirmed as joining Primal Scream on the bill at Edinburgh's Hogmanay 2012.
Fresh from their European tour, Bombay Bicycle Club will be performing at the Concert in the Gardens, the music and fireworks spectacular held in Edinburgh's city centre, location of one of the biggest New Year celebrations in the world.
Other artists also joining the bill include Mark Ronson (DJ set), Friendly Fires, Peatbog Faeries, Capercaillie, Jaymo & Andy George (DJ set) and Kassidy. Also announced are The Cuban Brothers, Frisky & Mannish, The Great Calverto, X-Factor's Jade Richards and more to be announced.
Jack Steadman, lead vocalist for Bombay Bicycle Club said, “We're very excited to experience a Scottish New Year. We're looking forward to playing the gig and then partying the night away. If we mess up, it's 'cause we're drunk."
Pete Irvine, director of Edinburgh's Hogmanay, said, “Bombay Bicycle Club are one of 2011's hot bands. Putting them with Primal Scream, two of the big festival acts of the year, seems like a dream ticket. Together with the artists for the Street Party, that we are announcing very soon, we think we've got the strongest line-up for Edinburgh's Hogmanay that we've ever had.”
