Ant and Dec are to present a Christmas charity TV show.
The Geordie duo have signed up for ITV1's 'Text Santa', a two-part programme which will see them host a three-hour telethon on Christmas Eve (24.12.11), asking viewers to donate money to worthy causes around the country.
The cheeky pair - who will entertainin fans with heartwarming stories - are hoping some of their celebrity friends will offer their help in a bid to boost ratings and generate as much cash as possible.
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "This new show is right up their street. They just want to have some fun and raise as much money as they can for charity."
It will be the first new TV outing for Ant and Dec since they fronted the doomed gameshow 'Red or Black?', which was plagued with problems from the start, including poor ratings and the revelation the first £1 million winner was a convicted woman-beater.
They will next be seen on TV screens when they present the latest series of 'I'm A Celebrity. Get Me Out Of Here!' from Australia next month.
