The Only Way Is Essex's Kirk and Mick Norcross have forked out £4.3 million on a hotel that the father and son duo plan to turn into a boutique seaside residence.

Kirk and Mick Norcross have forked out £4.3 million on a hotel.

The 'Only Way Is Essex' father and son duo - who already run nightclub Sugar Hut together - are hoping to expand their ever-growing business empire by turning Leigh-On-Sea's Grand Hotel into a boutique residence, complete with a fancy restaurant and spa.

Mick told the Daily Star newspaper: "We have been looking into it for some time now. We want to turn it into a boutique hotel. Obviously it all depends on whether we get planning permission.

"I just think it is a beautiful building in a fantastic location in a high quality area."

Mick - who recently dated 'TOWIE' co-star Maria Fowler - has also put his Brentwood farmhouse up for sale for £3.4 million.

The lavish property - which boasts a games room, hot tub, a wine-tasting room and 16 acres of stables and equestrian facilities - has featured heavily in both the first and second series of the ITV2 show, with Kirk living in the 'Penthouse Barn' on the outskirts of the main house.

Mick said: "I've been here six years and I've completely refurbished this place. But now I'm ready to move on to another project. Everything needed doing when I bought this place.

"Whoever buys my house gets two houses. The barn is ideal for families with grown-up children who want their own space, or maybe for grandparents.

"There's space here for someone who wants to run a business from home, as well as the equestrian side."
