The stars of 'The Only Way Is Essex' have started filming an ITV2 ghost-hunting special, which Joey Essex described as the ''scariest experience'' of his life.

Lauren Goodger, Mark Wright, Joey Essex, Amy Childs and Sam Faiers are joining 'Most Haunted' host Yvette Fielding on the spook-tastic show, which will see them investigating paranormal activity in a terrifying haunted house.

While Joey - who recently split from co-star Sam - seemed to be getting into the spirit of things, he admitted his long johns and thermal vest were causing him issues.

Writing on his twitter page, he said: "Ghost Busters 2day! Getting ready now for a very very long day ahead, GHOST BUSTERS wollooopp!

"Da da du du da du du, who you gona call? JOEY ESSEX, da da du du da du... ;) gona bust some ghosts 2day wollooopp pow.

"Sittin in the car, ready to be a ghost buster. Can't wait to see the team... So hot in these long jons and this fermal vest! (sic)"

However, Joey's excitement quickly turned to nerves, as he described filming the show as the "scariest experience" of his entire life.

He tweeted: "U don't wana be were I am!!! This is the scaryist exspeariance iv ever done in my life! (sic)"
