Sailor Jerry presents: Pete and the Pirates
Reading-based indie rockers set for Glasgow Stereo date
Pete and the Pirates are set to headline Stereo in Glasgow on May 27 as part of the Sailor Jerry Presents series of gigs across the UK.
The Reading-based indie rockers released their acclaimed debut album Little Death in 2007 and have been gaining momentum ever since, gigging relentlessly and even playing as far away as SXSW in the states. This upcoming intimate gig will follow the release of their new album One Thousand Pictures out on May 23, and also marks the end of a ten date whistle-stop tour of the UK.
The Sailor Jerry Presents series follows a long association with music in the UK and the US where Sailor Jerry shows have provided a welcome platform for many up-and-coming bands.
Pete and the Pirates join a list of bands who have performed as part of the series over the past two years, including The Joy Formidable and Mystery Jets, who have since gone on to secure wider acclaim and critical success. More recently, Pulled Apart By Horses played to a packed Jam in Brighton on April 28.
Tickets are £5 and are available from www.sailorjerry.co.uk
Sailor Jerry Presents will also visit London, Manchester and Bristol with details to be announced.
