Alex Reid has revealed he is struggling to cope with the breakdown of his marriage to Katie Price but hopes he will eventually be able to move on.

Alex Reid is struggling to "move on" following the breakdown of his marriage to Katie Price.

The cage fighter - who split with the former glamour model in January after less than a year of marriage - has admitted he still loves Katie but hopes he will eventually get over the heartbreak of their separation.

In an interview with the Daily Star newspaper, he said: "The only thing I will say about her is that I just hope that she finds what she's looking for. And I know I will move on too eventually.

"Obviously it's been a pants time, just recently. I mean it's been like a storm and the storm is passing now.

"This isn't a great time right now but just around the corner I know it's going to be really great again. The sky is blue and I knew it would be one day."

Although Alex misses his estranged wife and her children - Harvey, eight, Junior, five, and three-year-old Princess Tiaamii - he is ready to throw himself back into the dating scene and is keen to have a good time.

He said: "I'm a single guy, I want to have some fun. I am enjoying myself but I am not ready for love yet. But I am a normal guy with urges, yes. Never say never and if I found love then great. If it's a celebrity or not, it doesn't matter if I love someone.

"I'm not closed to the idea of love, I will love again. I am not ready to think about marriage yet."
