The Easter Revelry event at Edinburgh Castle takes place on Sat 23 - Mon 25 April, and includes historically-themed activities that'll appeal to all the family. Kramis the wizard will perform magic tricks to amuse and amaze you, while Sir Hugo Sofboiled and Baron Hardegg present some panto-style buffoonery in their comedy show. A court jester will be clowning around, displaying incredible feats of juggling prowess, and there will be opportunities to take part in some Renassiance dancing (courtesy of Danse Ecosse) or have a close encounter with some stunning birds of prey.
Kids can take part in Roary the Lion's Expl-roar-er Quiz, an exciting adventure that encourages participants to hunt round the castle for clues, guided by the friendly stewards working throughout. From counting how many stairs there are in the Lang Stairs to Royal babies born in Edinburgh Castle, Roary’s Expl-roar-er quiz is a must during the Easter break. There will also be a chance for one winner to take home a giant cuddly Roary toy, with a prize for everyone who takes part.
To complete the weekend, you can also grab a special Easter lunch in the Castle's Queen Anne Restaurant, or try out some Easter-themed dishes at the newly-opened Redcoat Cafe.
